                                                                The Worlds First Carbon Fibre Braided Shaft

X-WAVE are looking to change the game completely when it comes to the realms of shaft manufacturing. Whereas most commonly in shaft manufacturing practices you will see a carbon fibre rolling technology being deployed, which uses a small sheet of carbon fibre to reinforce the strength of the tip and adjust the tip area. On the other hand the X-WAVE shaft utilises a double structure, braided with multiple strands of high-modulus carbon fibre from the tip to the butt to compensate from the shortcomings of the typical manufacturing method.

With the braiding method that X-WAVE use, braided carbon fibre acts elastically in the direction opposite to the direction in which the shaft bends, whilst simultaneously supporting the shaft in the direction of the bending. Even if the shaft is bent or twised in any direction throughout the entire swing process, the interaction of the high-elasticity carbon fiber creates an elastic solid restoring force, accurately aligning the club face to the swing trajectory at the time of impact. 

On top of this, X-WAVE shafts have managed to minimise impact to the body. The high elasticity carbon fibers sequentially absorb the twisting shock through impact of hitting a golf ball, minimising the shock transmitted to the golfers body. Whether the golfer is swinging with a much softer feel or a faster stronger swing, the shaft accomodates them, aiding in achieving the desired distance.  

When looking at a comparison between regular and X-WAVE shafts- when a 50g shaft utilising the typical rolling fabrication method was pitted against X-WAVES 50g shaft the latter's results shone through. The regular shaft saw that as the swing speed increased the face of the club gradually closed, resulting in a hooking shot. The X-WAVE on the other hand, even when tested at the fastest speeds saw little change in face angle and achieved optimal launch and the best carry distance.
